Procedure

An example of a railway station's wiring.

  1. Find a stretch of track at least 7 blocks long for your station.
  2. Replace the ground at the end with the adaptor, replace the track, and apply a routing track kit to it.
  3. Leaving a one-track space, place the locking track kit behind it. Set it to train boarding mode with a crowbar.
  4. Leaving another one-track space, place the digital detector under the track behind the locking track, facing down.
  5. At the entrance to your station area under the track, place the routing detector under the track, facing down.
  6. Create a routing table containing Dest=<station name> and place it in the routing detector.
  7. Place the RS latch so when it receives a signal from the entrance end of the station, it outputs a signal to the locking track.
  8. Place a computer under the adaptor, and a chat box under that.
  9. Run an OC cable between the computer and digital detector.
  10. Wire up the RS latch so the “output off” side goes to the computer, and “output on” side goes to the routing detector.
  11. Place the screen where desired and run a cable to the computer.
  12. Connect the computer to power and network as applicable.
